Court of Appeal overturns trial court and
reenergizes FEHA claim by teacher
Swanson v. Morongo Unified School District
Long-time teacher Lauralyn Swanson
requested to teach a particular grade to accommodate her cancer treatment, but
was denied the request by the school district, can go to trial with her
discrimination claims. The California Court of Appeal overturned the trial
court which had ruled in favor of the district.
